I never cared for Little Lulu and this short is especially one of the most prominent examples as to why, the dude is literally trying to do his job and Lulu is being an entitled beach and she wins in the end, what makes it worse is that if this were made at a different studio then maybe it could have worked but good god Paramount’s Famous Studios did not have the right people to make this work

Tubby Tompkins was to be called "Fatso" in some of the early cartoons, but hand it to JOHN STANLEY (the original comic book auteur for LL who had to submit his work to LL and Tubby creator MARGE HENDERSON BUELL for approval before it could see the light of day on the comic book racks) to replace with what clearly is an epithet with .....TUBBY. It stuck and stayed that way till the present day.
